harry potty and the 2 and a half stars.
maybe i'm too overly critical of the film or having read the series, the expectations are way higher than normal movie-goers. but how can it be that it sucked so much in many aspects and (despite my whining and slamming) that the next 2 final installments will be directed by the SAME GUY ?
yeahh i feel depressed already. :/
why don't you just read the book and watch the trailer; it's sufficient. TRUST ME. leave everything to your own imagination. add in ACTION (you can have Harry chase the Death Eaters and Snape for hours around Hogwarts - that would take a couple of miles, and then battle it out with lots of sticks and wands and less dialogue) and more EMOTION (maybe we could lengthen the suffering Dumbledore endured while drinking from the, errr sink, focusing more on his agonised expression) and less ROMANCE which was unnecessary (bloody irritating too) and made the movie long and draggy. supposed it was the scriptwriter's fault for not shortening and cutting straight to the important points of the story but HE TRIED.
i mean - HONEST ! they actually did a slow-mo for DD's dying scene >>> him plummeting many storeys off the dunnowhat tower isn't exactly my idea of an honorific death (well it wasn't but it was downright cheesy.) in fact, it reminded me of The Matrix and the Neo scene (the one he bends backwards so low and he doesnt falls ? yeah that one) because of the arm.
not sad/upset when he died. in fact, i thought it was a really weak attempt at tugging at our heartstrings. forget it Yates, i want to see some werewolf Fenrir Greyback being carnivorous biting people and Bellatrix being her usual evil insane self because she's terribly entertaining.

hmms lemme think about what to blog about. :/
had free SIX HOURS break on friday morning before 1 and 1/2 hr bio period which was harrowing to me cause i couldn't wait to get out of it lest the teacher saw that my paper was empty or that she shakes her head in vile digust/disappointment that i can't remember my j1 topics like mitosis and meiosis. (still my WORST topic.) :( :( :(
new econs teacher (female) that took over mr blue was too soft and seriously boring - i mean she's a good speaker and she seems like she knows her stuff but honestly to me, all i heard was just her recapping topics that we have learnt and im learning nothing new. i willed myself to stare at the word "trade" which was located at a comfortable eye level on my new stack of notes and then, was off to dreamland for quite a while.
met hamie on thur to lend her the 6th book of HP and she rewarded me with good news that she got good seats at a good place to watch a good movie HAHA. :D i still have to pay though (manz !) but its all worth it and im waiting for my ultimate movie experience ! after all, the last movie i watched was "ponyo" and that was EONS ago.
no life. :/
also took the initiative to decorate our whiteboard (with extra marker that teachers with STM seem to always leave behind) and made it look like the good ole primary school days [you knw - date homework atendance duty roster LOL.] some of us even started a "globalised" lesson - teaching different languages >>> 1) HOW TO SAY MY NAME IS, 2) HOW TO SAY I LOVE YOU, 3) HOW TO COUNT FROM ONE TO TEN, etc.

have been getting to know some new musicians here and there - oh ! i like this korean girl YOUNHA (she plays guitar and piano - some talent, at least i suppose) and her music makes me happy. she has a pretty good voice too and is pretty. and she sings in both jap and korean (her eng isnt too bad) but i havent heard her jap songs YET.

but then i have to (by chanceee) like this young 19 year old male [exploitation of korean kids at young age churns out more money then UMMM, i dunno] name AJOO (his name sucks btw HAHAHAHA) and there's this song which is rather catchy. feats his senior from the same label who is "coincidentally" YOUNHA ! :D

i reeeeally like this one from her. :) :) :) she used to be part of the former norwegian pop duo M2M until they faded into oblivion after their 2nd album and went their separate ways. she, in my honest opinion, is the more talented one cause her music is actually real and not like just bloody pop (which i admit i listen to sometimes) music that the other girl does. the other girl is prettier though but looks can only get you that far.
(i mean just take a look at michael jackson who bleached himself and turned himself into a walking version of thriller and his wierddd personality ETC ETC ETC.)
another song i like to is by THE BIRD AND THE BEE and they are indie music people and very cool people as well. they came to sunny island last year, during the mosaic music fest. awesome stuff from them and i've got a few fave tracks but the latest one stuck in my head is -
