BOXING DAY IS TODAY.
AND THE WINNER IS ...
Category 1 - Male Singer:
James Morrison JASON MRAZ :D John Mayer Ne-Yo
It may seem like an unfair decision to you but honestly, riding on his success [any maybe it has become a tad annoying] of the song “I’m Yours” that has got everyone humming and bopping themselves silly to it. But once again, he’s proven that he has mettle and only such charming personality can garner this many votes.
AH WHAT AM I SAYING? I LOVE HIM AND HE WINS. :P
Category 2 - Female Singer:
Alicia Keys Ingrid Michaelson Rihanna Sara Bareilles Yui
I think this year has been a good one for her although not many people know of her. She may not have a hit song like Bareilles or endless ones like Ms Umbrella. She sure can’t beat Grammy-winning songstress who’s good at tinkling the ivories nor the Japanese wunderkind with her electric guitar. Yet she wins cause she is creative and very indie. :D
Category 3 - Band:
Maroon 5 Melee Panic At The Disco Paramore
Reduction of list to make choosing easier although for a while, I thought it was a sure-win for Adam and friends. But but but, it had to be Panic cause they made everything interesting this year and they were good live. Although their songs [and more famously/infamously] and song titles are strange and getting stranger each time they release their new records, they are still pretty cool. PRETTY ODD TOO. :P
Category 4 - Song Of The Year:
DBSK – Mirotic Jason Mraz – I’m Yours Sara Bareilles – Love Song The Script – The Man Who Can’t Be Moved This Providence – Waste Myself
This one was difficult to choose, what with all the choices to make ! ARGH. I narrowed the list down and still was struggling to make a decision. However, I had to so I chose the song with the highest play count on this list, as well as ability to make me start singing/dancing/doing something worthy to be song of the year. And it is MIRRRRRRRRRROTIC ! :D This was the only song that inspired me so much – to learn the dance, to sing it properly in the language it was sung in, to fangirl over a group of guys who come from a country where most people are plastic [THEY. ARE. NOT.] and yada yada. Even Mraz did not inspire me to learn the guitar [it was YUI haha] although I have to admit that I did learn how to play “Love Song” but failed. :P
DONG BANG SHIN KI HWAITING ! :D
Category 5 - Newcomer:
David Archuleta David Cook The Cab The Hush Sound This Providence The Ting Tings
Based on quality, 2 bands would probably vie for the top spot but my gut told me that it has to be them. Them with the hypnotic ditties that don’t require singing or that much of it. Them with power of only a guitar and drums to give us some good songs. Them who are arriving here in sunny island on the 13th January ’09 – THE TING TINGS !
I love their name btw. :D
Category 6 - Most Annoying:
Womanizer – Britney Spears I Kissed A Girl – Katy Perry Low – Flo Rida Bleeding Love – Leona Lewis Mercy – Duffy Teardrops On My Guitar – Taylor Swift
I never thought annoying songs could win anything. Anws, I decided this one through the elimination method, so Duffy and Swift and Spears and Perry got kicked out pretty fast. I didn’t really listen to much of their songs back then – I THINK. :P Thus it was a toss up between Hip-Hop and Ballad/RnB. In the end, Lewis wins it because I absolutely hate it when she goes “keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love” and also because its bloody irritating to have people who listen to it mimic her. MY POOR EARS. =/
congrats. ;)

sunday i went to church and then after to vivo for SMTG. and then i rushed back home and hurriedly packed my bag for the 2g chalet. met up with wanfen [!!! :D ] and then we chatted all the way to pasir ris. golly, it's a rlly long ride but its great to catch up with her. i miss all you ppl ! =/
we arrived at quite a late time and then me, fen and xuan went to kbox HAHAHA. and now because of that im quite broke [the wallet is now a bottomless pit] and feeling like i need more practice with mikes. :( YIKES. but we had quite a bit of fun and they actually have the ting tings ! :D i was singing that and feeling very high on that song cause its perfect to headbang to HAHAHA. :P
went back for some bbq dinner and here are some pics. ;) didnt take pics with everyone but it was fun overall.
after that we passed time with xuan and i watching madagascar 2 on the macbk, while fen and her bf were having their 2-some in the same room as us; us roaring in laughter with the penguins' mad antics. there were only the 4 of us at the chalet as the rest went to play pool and subsequently to watch "IP MAN". honestly i dunno if its rlly true cause i had no inkling [?]. maybe they went mass chatting - WHO KNOWS? next we held our own convos - me, jiahui and xuan were chatting abt >>> WHAT ELSE ?
me - Dong Bang and jh - SuJu. :D :D :D
YAY I LOVE KOREANS. :P
went to slp at 4plus or 5 plus smtg while the guys were using internet [the macbk is not a noob com and im NOT A NOOB USER !] and playing songs frm yesteryears (pokemon and power rangers theme songs; THEY SANG ALONG !?! ) and also watching stand-up comedy by russell peters. the room only quietened down after 6 plus onwards. we couldnt last long and then some of the guys went to bathe at public outhouses while xuan, fen and i went to macs for breakfast.
which reminds me i owe xuan 7 bucks. ARGH. :(
left soon after to get some sleep at hme before meeting dawn [YAY YAY YAY] at novena mrt. im so glad dawn is eating more nowadays. maybeee its for Hikaru-san HAHAHA. :P
shall be releasing results for music sooooon.

so i watched "twilight" ytd and i kind of regret it cause it wasnt that nice. rach and i [both of us read the bk before, dawn hasnt] thought that perhaps the movie would be better than the book.
WRONG WRONG WRONG. :(
i think rach-san felt quite dizzy watching it and as for me, i felt like puking after the movie. okayyy, i cant say that the romantic scenes caused me to react in such a severe way but i was sitting in the middle. i was holding the popcorn box. i was munching on it almost throughout the entire movie. the lesson i learnt is that put me in front of an exciting movie and i'll eat slower. but put me in front of a movie thats too draggy/cheesy/overly romantic and i cant stop.
i swear i had more than half the box of it. =/ BAD BAD BAD news. i felt bad for not letting the other two have a go at the popcorn. =/ and i only ate more when those fangirls/Twilighters/noisy women made all these ooh-ing and aah-ing sounds [signs of limited vocabulary] when they saw Bella (female lead) and Edward (male protagonist) up close.
yeah yeah yeah - and i thought i was a hopeless romantic; turns out im not right ? :P
the film really deserves only 2 stars. kristen stewart does a rather convincing job as the fiesty heroine and robert pattinson's only saving grace is his looks. REEEALLY. his acting cant even save his own life, let alone the film. i think he kept thinking to himself to be into the character, so much that he became aloof - ALMOST LIKE A STATUE. his expression is blank and NEVER-changing. actually it fits the description for his character then >>> Greek god-like ? only that greek gods exist as statues most of the time.
AHAHAHA. [so gonna get bashed for this.] :P
the only part that i liked was the car accident part [but that was short-lived] and the baseball match (only cause i like the Muse song) and and and the fighting scene between 2 vampires. it wasn't in the book though but im glad they added that part. i love a bit of action. nonono, lemme correct that; LOTS AND LOTS OF IT. :D it was just so COOL to see them whacking around. it's like real life vampire action - finally ! :O anws it was cheesy because stephenie meyer, the author, casted herself as an extra in the movie [spoiler: "here you go, your veggie burger."] just as i was leaving the theatre, the fangirls were once again gushing [just like me going on and on about YUI larhhh; fair enough] about the movie and how they were going to watch it again.
i'll watch it again over my dead body. >:( it's not that its that bad but it's probably one of the worst movies i've ever watched, not counting scary movie and superhero movie - ahhh franchises. nvm nvm nvm. (-.-")
righto. now i have to go think about ways/means/methods to raise funds for '09 string of possible music events to go for. maybeee its time to hit the books to curry favour some VERY reluctant parents.
AHHH. ;)

no i dont suck blood.
currently listening to: rolling star - YUI. :D
someone is in a dilemma over the ting tings gig and FOB concert. i say former only cause smtg tells me to, but i cant pinpoint what. :P
today i remembered something i have always firmly believed in - EXTREMELY GORGEOUS PEOPLE STILL LOOK GOOD EVEN IF THEY ARE WEARING RAGS. [correct me now, if i'm wrong.] i dunno why but it just crossed my mind. anws i finished reading "twilight" that jkhor lend me to read and here's my take on it.
I MIGHT BE STONED TO DEATH BY TWILIGHTERS AROUND THE GLOBE - but honestly, i do not think it lives up to all its hype. then again, when the hype is cause by a bunch of teenage girls drooling/salivating over the male protagonist [who happens to be immortal and greek god-like, like how the author describes], it doesnt seem to be very reliable. i just think that its too much dialogue and TOO LITTLE ACTION.
where are the fight scenes ? [BRING ON THE ACTION MAN! like darren shan.] most probably only off to the last few chapters but i swear they are minimal. there's quite a fair bit of proclamation of love which, i feel, once too many can be quite annoying. its all very romantic; TOO ROMANTIC for my liking. not that i wouldnt like to dream that some very handsome guy would fall for an ordinary girl but im realistic. too many books out there paint very PICTURESQUE AND HAPPY-EVER-AFTER tales that never do come true. i want something with more substance, maybe less emotion but enough to keep the story going. i want PLOT PLOT PLOT ! :(
okayyy; rant done.
tmr i think im gna be watching "twilight" with rach-san and dawn after chem @ caraven. it's just too bad jkhor cant come. :( :( :( :( :( I WILL REALLY BE SAD. but she doesnt want to watch it anws, cause she thinks it will spoil her own impression of the characters. =/
ah yes 2 mre hours and i dont have chem tuition anymre. waste of my time. i just go there with my blank mind and scribble notes to jkhor, asking for time check. she's better in chem than me now and i think maybeee i ought to be a little more hardworking or fearful but im just nonchalant.
TOO NONCHALANT, i must say. it's wierd; it's unbecoming of me. :S i thought i liked to study but lately i have been daydreaming about YUI, DBSK, GUITARS, LIVE GIGS, FRIENDS, YUI, DBSG, THSK, TVXQ, etc. i think i contracted severe amnesia at the start of the nov/dec hols cause i cant seem to remember anythng that i have learnt throughout this entire year. or the year before. or the year before the year before.
yeah well, you get it. =/
i just remember all the gd times i had, that i want to go to mre gigs, i want to travel around the world and learn how to play the guitar. that simple. oh yeah, AND TODAY WAS PERFECT FOR EXERCISE ! the weather was like damn gd lah ! :( i hate it when i cant do things my way - a sign of a persistently stubborn personality. SIGH.

long entry ahead.
Day 7: Sunday and I just realized how long we have been in Vietnam – ONE WHOLE WEEK! :O it seems quite impossible to be true. Had to take malaria pills and went to do painting at the 2007 site, the one that the previous batch of SA OCIP Vietnam Team-ers worked at. We played with the children that came to take a look at what we were doing and gave them sweets and biscuits. It was then we found out that they did not know they had to tear the wrappers to get to the candies – they would eat them up whole if we did not tear it open for them. :( I remembered that I was left with 5 biscuits and I told them to line up to take them from me. Of course they did not understand and instead crowded around me. The kids still held this fear of strangers from a foreign country as they would snatch the snacks from my outstretched palms. The girls were better behaved though. :P after they had their fill, we saw that there were crumbs and sweet wrappers scattered about the floor. We proceeded to pick them up and put into one of the plastic bags we brought and, WHAT DID YA KNOW? The kids actually took the initiative and copied our actions. It probably goes to show how children are influenced easily and with the RIGHT influence, they can learn new etiquettes. How very interesting. :O
When the second group returned from their work at the 2007 site [which was us], we were struck by horror [at least I WAS] struck with horror when I saw that they were sitting at the dinner tables with lamps lighting up the place. Almost pitch dark but it wasn’t evening yet. I fed Nam Ai today [the imp from our lodge] and watched the stars [for once we can see them!] with Ces, Josie and Val Xie. Played “if you know what I mean” [WLIIA game] with Shane, John and Fiona. John was totally horrified with our answers and the look he gave us! >>> AH priceless. :P The experience working [building a kindergarten] in Vietnam is so much more enjoyable than in Singapore. When I look up after hard at work for quite a long period of time, the scenery just strikes me as BREATH-TAKING. Literally. I can only marvel and gaze at it in awe. This got me thinking a lot really. Like comparing Singapore to Vietnam, since we lack all these scenic views in an island that constantly deals with land scarcity. I wonder why I don’t work hard in Singapore when I do local CIP. :S Is it because of the lack of incentive? Then am I truly helping others to their benefit or am I just feeling satisfied from it? Isn’t that equivalent to being selfish then? I feel tremendous guilt when I think like that. :(
To pass time, Shane told us some scary stories – actually about how he found some videos on Youtube and that the videographer/photographer/cameraman actually caught real-life scary scenes. He told us how to identify the real ones and the fake ones. Seriously speaking, I wouldn’t care. Watching horror films already give me the creeps, I don’t need to search for videos that are even more life-like/realistic THANK YOU VERY MUCH. (-.-“)
OH SUNDAY WE WENT TO THE SUNDAY MARKET TO SHOP ! :D Many interesting sights and sounds welcomed us at the Sunday market. There were many other tourists there too and the villagers were out in full force, hawking all their wares and handicrafts. Among the situations/scenes that different team mates faced were slaughtering/sale of pigs, puppies in baskets and the manner of treating them when they were sold to their buyers, ETC. The villagers don’t have much for entertainment so many of them are really good at making up their own games or playing simple games like chapteh and chess. These games are probably from our parents’ times, when they were still living in kampungs. Personally, I felt this strong sense of nostalgia and maybe peacefulness. They lead simple lives, free from the complexity of the city.
An interesting [actually maybe I should say EXASPERATING] incident was that this ANGMOH couple went up to one of our team mates [they would have noticed us; we were in such a big group and all wearing identical windbreakers] and asked "CHINA?" :O
WTH WTH WTH WTH WTH. :( :( :(
bah, as if we don’t stereotype them ourselves. BUT SERIOUSLY, WHICH PART OF OUR STANDARD OF ENGLISH DO YOU NOT GET ??? This is highly infuriating and only serves as a reminder for the time I logged onto Facebook and joined the page, which was tagged as “WHO’S GOING for the Maroon 5 concert” and they labeled – SINGAPORE, CHINA.
[NO OFFENCE TO ALL CHINA PEOPLE. i just dont like ths misconception very much.]
WTH WTH WTH WTH WTH. >:(
FOR GOD’S SAKE ASIA IS VERY HUGE AND ASIA DOES NOT EQUATE TO CHINA ALONE ! THERE ARE MANY OTHER COUNTRIES IN ASIA - SOME OF WHICH ARE SINGAPORE, INDIA, MALAYSIA, VIETNAM, INDONESIA, LAOS, CAMBODIA, ETC ETC ETC.
Which makes me want to mention that I put up a video quite a while back that showed how Americans [they have other alternatives: British, Germans, French, etc.] were extremely CLEVER.
I MEAN THEY ASKED THIS [why does she happen to be a blonde??? :O ] LADY TO NAME A COUNTRY THAT STARTS WITH THE LETTER “U” AND SHE WAS STUPEFIED. WOW REALLY. HONESTLY SPEAKING. IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO COME UP WITH “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” OR WHAT ?!?
Nevermind, was digressing over there. BACK TO THE STORY SORRY.
Day 8: I wrote only one sentence in my diary/notebook and it goes like this: “Today we helped to paint the classroom and I did programmes with the kids. It was fun. THE END.” I can’t believe how short this entry was. I must mention though that I love kids and that I had a great time teaching them arts and crafts. One of the activities that we did with the kids was to string macaroni and make it into a necklace. I realized how grubby the little kids’ fingers were. It almost seemed like they had been hard at work in the fields or something. i wonder if they were considered priveleged BECAUSE I WONDEREDIF THERE WERE ANY OTHER KIDS OUT THERE THAT DID NOT HAVE AN EDUCATION. I wonder so much that I think my head still hurts. =/
For the sharing session, instead of voicing out our opinions straight away, we were told to think what would Mr Ong and Ms Tay say to us about what we have learnt throughout the day. ALL I WROTE DOWN WAS QUESTIONS because I have never been very good at guessing what someone would say. BUT I CAN THINK OF THE NUMEROUS POSSIBILITIES WHEN IT COMES TO QUESTIONS. :O
I think coming towards the end of the trip, we didn’t get much oppurtunities to share because of the places we were in. It’s quite difficult and also a little inconvenient to get all 20 smtg of us to meet at the lobby of the hotel we stayed in at some stipulated time. It would seem like some illegal gathering anyways. :P One point to mention about Day 8 is that Mr Ong felt that maybe the villagers didn’t appreciate us for all the work we have done. Come to think of it [ahhh, thinking again], I have never looked through the matter in such a perspective. How could I be so naïve to believe that they would appreciate all that we have done? Sometimes I feel guilty; I should be doing more to help them – I’m sure I’m capable of it, whether physically, emotionally or financially. I don’t want the people to think I’m doing it so that I make myself feel better [oh so now I’m a saintly figure or some do-gooder?] NO NO NO. I honestly want to help and I’m being earnest.
Which is why we should take our local CIP more seriously because if we can’t help our fellow Singaporeans/citizens, then why should we help others?
chew on it. ;)
Days 9 and 10: My memory is failing me. My notebook cannot assist me. I teared when I waved goodbye to the kids, not knowing if I’ll ever see them again and whether they truly know of our existence in time to come. [insert heavy sigh] The kindergarten is incomplete and so are the murals – AND WE HAD AN INAUGURATION CEREMONY? I felt guilty once again and just filled with many questions.
What have we came here for? Have we achieved our goals and attained what we were scheduled to accomplish? I HAVE NO IDEA AND TRULY SPEAKING, I THINK NOT.
Our performance was quite alright but I felt that our practices seemed to – OH I DUNNO THE WORD FOR IT. It was slipshod work, everything to me was. I just wanted to ask them to have their own opening ceremony later and complete the kindergarten first. What [to me] was important was the completion of the kindergarten and nothing else. Again it was all a matter of “face” and “presentation”. The organizers and big shots took a picture of the front of the kindergarten because it was most presentable.
SAYING THIS ONLY MAKES ME HATE MYSELF MORE. :( :( :( :( :(
A couple more things happened after that and all I can mention that it was heart-rending and confusing. I do not understand why and whether we have truly helped the community at all. =/
Day 11 [COPIED WHOLESALE FROM NOTEBOOK]: We took the overnight train ride from Lao Cai to Hanoi. It was unforgettable experience. Had so much fun crashing each other’s bunks. :P The train ride was rather bumpy though, but it is a once in a lifetime situation you wouldn’t be in all the time – I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Pretty creepy in the toilet though – the train made weird jerking noises as it went past the countryside. [Sidenote: Our bunk was on the last end of the carriage. As you have probably seen in some movies, carriages are linked to one another by small doors and this area where you can walk across to the next carriage. These linkages are however, not very stable, and usually exposed to whatever is outside – the wind, rain, sun – YOU GET THE IDEA. It was late in the night when we travlled and the toilet was just beside this linkage. I SWEAR IT’S FREAKING SCARY. You can imagine one of those horror movies to take place right there and then.] We had supper – my digestives were mostly consumed and we listened to some music, courtesy of John the funnyman. I had difficulty getting to sleep [perhaps it was the train rocking to and fro in awkward positions] and got woken up early by the train alarm at around 4 plus [!!!!!] in the morning. The alarm was VERY LOUD AND VERY LONG. In fact, it probably only stopped when we were approaching the station. What they did was to BLAST VIETNAMESE TRADITIONAL SONGS AT HIGH VOLUMES and hopefully the passengers would wake up, wash up and get ready to arrive in Hanoi.
HAHA THANK YOU WE DID. (-.-“)
No time to brush teeth or anything. I felt dirty [no bathing for A day !] and stinky and grossed out. Did not get to keep my train ticket which was sad. :( Shane still has his [I found out when he dropped it on a chair at this café at this pit stop, when we were making our way to Hanoi’s airport for the trip home.] Anws, we went straight to the hotel by bus and I saw Sofitel! It’s an expensive branch of hotels [I’ve been to one in France] that has quite nice décor, in contrast to that of the other buildings in Hanoi. There was also a Louis Vuitton shop – I SWEAR IT’S AUTHENTIC. After we checked in, we walked to the lake and onto this bridge [it does look quite like the pictures] and there were many flies – MANY FLIES. I don’t think that they were swarming around us because we haven’t had our baths yet but - YOU NEVER KNOW. :P
The city life is hard to get used to after so many days in the mountains. I’m not quite accustomed to hearing the horns again. It was so peaceful in the countryside, the scenery and greenery, including the air – SO MUCH FRESHER IN BAC HA. I think maybe instead of Switzerland, I’ll retire there. It may not have 4 seasons but it can get pretty cold during the winter period, when we are high up in the mountains. :D
DAY 11+ and 12 TBC for another day. ciao.

odiso?
I TOTALLY FLIPPED AND LAUGHED LIKE THERE'S NO TMR AT - "I LOVE YOU AS HIGH AS THE SKY AND AS DEEP AS THE EARTH". WAHLAO, I THOUGHT ONLY CHINESE PEOPLE SAY THAT OR SMTG. XD XD XD

ytd i was moody but today i got it all sorted out thanks to my mum.
ah okayyy now im back to normal mode. ;)
alamak i still love LEVINE. :P 2008 has been a good music year for me, bad academics year for me and overall - LIFE CHANGING in certain ways i would never imagine. HAHA.
quote shane: no lah no lah. x)

i would say the kboxing experience was a good one and nothing beats holding a mike close to your face [AND A REAL MIKE FOR THE FACT] cause its just fun. my voice was horrid though - couldnt hit the high notes like i used to. but i've got people requesting for my presence at KBOX.
REQUEST GRANTED HAHA. :D
went for chem tuition today with jessie and guess who I saw at the very same tuition? GARRICK CHEONG MUN HENG [WAHlao; what luck]. we started off with organic chem which is shit for me cause im bad in all my subjects. the notes are collecting dust in every corner of my room. i wished spring cleaning involved work as well. like: NO MORESTUDYINGAHAHA; but what the heck, i'm already halfway through this CRUCIAL/DRAINING/TIME-CONSUMING year. it's strange to think that one year im a junior, the next im a senior. =/ i mean - i havent even had a firm grasp of anythng yet and now you are about to whisk me off to some major paper to decide my fate in the future?
UNFAIR ! ah, common lah. :(
but instead of moping around at home or just waiting for doomsday to hit me [which im pretty sure is just right around the corner] i gotta be like keanu reeves [for the GAZILLIONTH time he's saving the world in some way or another - MATRIX and CONSTANTINE] and make a change.
ahhh change change change. this year has had so many changes, good and bad. im starting to sound naggy like an old woman with nothing better to do. but - I DO !
okayyy, between wrong number by DBSK/TVXQ and eat you up by BoA, which dance class should i go for ? :P :P :P it sounds almost outrageous coming frm someone with 2 left feet but yeah - i want to try something new. i like trying things - i just dont like to keep trying under stress [simile for stress a.k.a EXAMINATIONS/TEST/MSAs/MSTs/WTV WTV WTV] for no apparently good/supportive evidence. (-.-")
aite; bye for now.

mixed emotions WE ARE EMPTY OH OH.
which girl doesnt love shopping?
which girl doesnt want to wear a white dress?
which girl doesnt put on make up?
which girl doesnt want to know you care?
which girl doesnt give a damn?
which girl doesnt want to hold hands?
which girl thinks the world is a lie?
that girl is ME, F Y I.

there's a random hundred million billion trillion gazillion thoughts zooming around in my head right now and although i dont get the headache i usually do, i feel sick mentally and physically. i dunno. i thought i should be happy. :( i met with jyn on sunday and didnt get to eat viet food/PHO - but it doesnt matter since in the end they didnt eat viet food at all. [AM I A RECLUSE ? SOCIAL FREAK ? INTROVERT MAYBE ?] and monday i spent it having some monday blues but rather excited about today's outing. in fact i couldn't sleep at all and woke up feeling rather drained of my energy.
BUT IT'S MUSIC WE ARE TALKING ABT FOLKS ! =/
so i was happy when i went to Cine today although a little bit put down by the fact that Rach-san had to run some errands first and was thus late for the KBOXING. [we missed so much time together doing MIRO - ARGH ! >:( ] i think i can say that now i am visibly mad but back just now i didnt feel anythng at all. [OH NO, IM UN-EMOTIONAL NOW ? WTH.] then i was happy again when we started singing although sad because i didnt sing many songs and my voice was kind of cracked and the food was crap and the price was PETRIFYING and the air-con was darn cold and and AND AND AND -
nvm.
anws we went window shopping afterwards and spent a great deal of time at the GLOOMY/depressing ZARA SHOP [everything is like BLACK AND BLACK ANDbrownAND MORE BLACK, with occasional colours thrown in] and i learnt that after almost - say - TEN YEARS of not wearing a dress, i cant wear a dress now.
i think i need to call the fashion police. :(
which brings me to my next point abt shopping. i am damn ashamed/guilty/horrified at my own actions. how can i think about buying this and that or not having this and that when in the first place the vietnam kids dont have it at all ???
i have decided -
i want to JUMP [ah no worries thr - been reading alot abt teleportation]
to BAC HA, VIETNAM
>>> itsumademo.
quote of the day:we are all just a bunch of highly-insecured people finding means to become secured.
i wonder if people have issues.
i wonder if people have tissues.
i wonder if life is peaceful.
i like my fried rice peasful/peas-free.
:D / :X / D:
i wonder if i can live without music ?
NONONO I DONT THINK SO. ;)

OCIP STORY on a hiatus. ;)
put your mp3 player on shuffle and write down the first line of every english song you hear. do this twenty times. then you take the first line of the 21st song and put that as your title.
TITLE: I can't sleep.
mas que nada, black eyed peas came to make it hotter
pink is my new obsession, pink is not even a question
got the news today, doctor said i had to stay a little bit longer and i'll be fine
this is a call to the colour blind, this is an IOU
round round, baby round round, spinning out on me
making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass and im homebound
i can feel the colour running as it faded from my face
see the curtains hanging in the window in the evening on a friday night
the word is out, the town can hardly breathe
who would i be, where would i be going, if i didnt have you to shake my face
hey baby, you really got my tail in a spin
get a load of me, get a load of you, walking down the street and i hardly know you
i never loved nobody fully, always one foot on the ground
when will you be home she asked, as we watched the planes take off
tonight we drink to youth and holding fast the truth
i tear my heart my open, i sewed myself shut
okie doke. (-.-)

today i went to the dentist and it was strangely fun. i like asking random questions and joking about them. when the dentist put on her gloves, my brother was like - "it's just like in CSI" and she replied "well they use the scotchtape and the duster."
i think i like my dentist alot. :D

things are poofing !
ytd night was very fun. i waited quite a while before rach-san got online [i was on at 7 plus ! and YOUUU !!! :O ] forgiven lah, for all the DBSK-related thngs you showed me. had sudden random and impromptu-ness to go kbox today but i think alot of us wont be able to make it anws. it was like 1 smtg in the morning when i made the decision, i think. =/
chatted w garrick cheong mun heng [wahlao, havent called u that for a long time] and he told me he was going to become a politician and be an octopus with JESSICA BIEL, SCARLETT JOHANSSON, MEGAN FOX, etc.
(-.-) well i have myMRAZ and JYH. :D
and caught up with 2 4g gals today - HAMIE AND MRS DAI-CHAN [aka jazzoo chan] !!!!! :D it was another impromptu thngy, cause i got woken up by my bro ths morning [well, it was eleven smtg to be accurate] because of a certain SOMEONE
- who won tickets to the ANGELS AND AIRWAVES gig on sunday
- which collides with ocip GATHERING at a PHO RESTAURANT ! :O
damnit. sometimes i hate the amt of coincidence in thngs. :(
so i went down to plaza sing with her to collect her pair of tix [AT THE MTV ASIA PLACEEE - which im not sure what its called] and only authorised personnel are allowed in / winners of contests rlly. :O its so cool >>> SUGOEEE !
i stole many postcards frm thr :P and the place looks damn cool. wanted to take many pics of the place to show you guys [i was acting like a bloody tourist KIDDD lah] but the security guy kinda scared me with his stare. you know those kind whr they look up frm their desk ? =/ anws, i got one pic of the place and hamie says she wants to work there in the future. it must be all that SPONGEBOB SOFT TOYS ! [which she didnt see at all, strangely enough.] :P
met up with jazzoo chan and then we walked around ngee ann city/TAKA [cause it was raining]. thought that gramaphone had disappeared and jazzoo chan was like "we don't have to walk back and check cause if we passed a music store, there's bound to be loud music blasting from it to announce to us its presence." (not the exact words) but lo and behold !
when we retraced our steps, we found GRAMAPHONE. (-.-")
i saw Mirotic [THIRTY TWO DOLLARS AND FORTY FIVE CENTS - WTH ?] but there was only one copy and realised that thr were very little imports for j and k pop. not that it really mattered to me. i have the entire Mirotic album alr and i still love eng music more. ;) and -
JASON THOMAS MRAZ HAS RELEASED A LIMITED EDITION OF WSWDWST AND IT HAS THREE f-ng CDS [ONE OF WHICH IS DVD] AND IT COSTS ONLY SGD 27.45 !!!!!
>>> thank you santa, im looking forward to this xmas. :D
after that, i ate my first pretzel [how was i to knw it was the expensive one ? =/ ] cinnamon raisin - YUM, so now i officially love pretzels and need to get a good work out. :P went to collect my BRAND NEW ipod but have got to spend mre money on screen protector DAMN. :( sync-ed it straightaway when the girls got their coffee bean fix. we watched MIROTIC [DANCE VER.] and WRONG NUMBER, which are both by my fave band of the month >>>
DBSK / TVXQ / DONGFANGSHENQIor wtv else u may call it.
:D :D :D :D :D
cut long story short: went for tuition straightaway and have many photos to look at now. [HAHA - ALL YOU CAMWHORES ! macbks have such great cams.] :P and shuan !!! its because of you that now i have one more country i want to return to - DOWN UNDER ! :(

i finally realised that i am in the wrong stream. i should have been in arts cause i love GP/ENG, LIT, ART, ECONS, MATH - but definitely not science. i suppose that you would love something when you do well in it but the truth is im not that fantastic in the arts either.
