ONLY 365 DAYS TO REACH '09.
TC5 LIVE AT MOS: THIS WAS THE BEST THNG THAT HAPPENED TO ME THIS YEAR BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN REALLY LUCKY AND ZOMG. [joeyjoeyjoey - zomg]
that's besides the fact that i got to go to europe! =)
i learned zomg frm jyn [RANDOM INFO OF THE YEAR].
to jyn: ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG. o.0
hah my own vid again. =)
THE CLICK FIVE PLAY LIVE AT MOS - ADDICTED TO ME.
what a great way to start the new year by proclaiming once again how lousy my camera skills are and that i hopefully will be as lucky as i was in '07 as well as the coming '08. =D
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
ZOMG TC5 BAND OF THE YEAR ON 98.7 FM - DUHHHHHHHHHHH. =P
btw, you guys shld check out ingrid michaelson. she's a folksy songs kind of singer. maybe not for people who are mainstream but more like a 'I LOVE JOHN MAYER/JASON MRAZ/JACK JOHNSON' kind of person. =)
oh - and according to muttons [frm 98.7 again], the gadget of the year is Nintendo Wii.
THAT'S A GD PLAY TRUST ME CAUSE I TRIED IT AT SIM LIM SQUARE AND IT WAS DAMN COOL [YESYESYES- IM HOOKED] YOU JUST SWING THE THING LIKE PLAYING TENNIS AND STUFF LIKE THAT. even my mum thinks it's fun. =)
there's actually a wide variety of games you can play. in fact - they not only have a controller but also a fishing rod [OMG don't ask why], boxing gloves, ETC - all to attract more buyers [and profit, naturally] and also encourage greater interaction with an electric object. =P
anyway i dunno what else to do right now. =/
listen to count down - CHECK.
stone - CHECK.
listen to great music - CHECK.
watch countdown later - CHECK.
wish friends 'HAPPY NEW YEAR!' - check.
ahh - utter boredom. i suppose that's why they created the internet right? to save our bored selves frm dying of boredom. hah - bored me dying of boredom because i'm utterly bored to be bored.

minutes to midnight.
with a few more days to the end of '07 and the start of '08, i better start making my new year resolutions. BEST IF I JUST JUMP STRAIGHT INTO IT. =)
1. be a nicer person
THAT'S NEEDLESS TO SAY AND I BET EVERYONE CAN PUT THIS ON THEIR nyr LIST AS WELL. =/ I DO IT CAUSE I ALWAYS NEED TO IMPROVE MYSELF SO MIGHT AS WELL.
2. go to church more often.
DEAR GOD, i have sinned for not going to church as often as i shld. pls forgive me and i will promise to be a better kid next yr cause you hav rlly helped me in '07 - crisis yr for all graduating students. =)
3. pick up the guitar.
despite the many times my dad has repeatedly told me that i can NEVER play guitar [WHAT? I'M DOOMED TO THE DRUMSET ONLY??? nah - JK.] because my fingers are too short an stubby. the only consolation is that i probably-MIGHT BE-hopefully-WITH SOME LUCK-be able to play the bass guitar. that's not too bad. =)
4. pick up the drums. [-.-"]
if all else FAILS...
5. do something worthwhile.
maybe volunteer somewhere for something. best if it has smth to do with children. i may not be rlly THAT gd with kids but i will try. =) anyway, they are so much fun than compared to adults. what with the government and sch edu boards [BLAH BLAH - the likes of them] always pushing us to visit old folks homes. HOW ABT THE ENVIRONMENT? after all there is so much hype about how one day we are all going to drown or perhaps die due to lack of air. [umm, maybe the ozone doesn't have anyth to do with it.]
THIS IS GOOD IF YOU STILL REMEMBERED 'GIRLY MAN!' =D
more trash frm me soon guys. WATCH THIS SPACE. =)

without music, life would be a MISTAKE.
i've been pretty busy. =/
last week, i watched a movie and went to sentosa for a one night stay.
this week, i had a NE trip and i celebrated x'mas and went library again.
sentosa's rlly changed alot esp since i havent been there in a year alr. there's so much construction going on and the place has been revamped that it rlly looks A WHOLE LOT COOLER than before. perhaps this is all in bid to keep up with the government's dream of THE PERFECT IR [integrated resort] or smth.
oh yes, the movie i caught was 'enchanted' with a few of my new-found friends on the SA-tour. there were 5 guys and ME, the only girl. =( but it was nice catching up with them and i guess we are pretty successful cause this is the first time that after a 'LONG TRIP' tour, i have gone out with the friends i made. the last one was 2 yrs back - my korea/japan trip. we alr have had 2 gatherings - WITHOUT THE ADULTS. =P
so YES the movie.
i give it 3 stars. 1 star because its a disney production, 1 star because it's enjoyable and another star for the child-friendly storyline. =)
the plot is simply: cartoon princess magically appears in reality because her evil stepmother-in-law 'magicked' her. so she tries to find her way back to CARTOON LAND [which in this case is called 'Andalacia'] and find her Prince Charming, but ends up falling in love with a divorced attorney with a cute daughter. AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. THE END.
=/ anyway, the funny thing is that i only recognise the male leads in this film. there's Patrick Dempsey AKA Dr. Mcdreamy from Grey's Anatomy and he plays the divorced attorney. there's James Marsden [yah i think he is more handsome than Patrick Dempsey actually =] who plays the self-obsessed Prince Edward and BOY CAN HE SING AND HE'S ALREADY DONE THAT IN HAIRSPRAY!!! =) finally, there's timothy squall who is more famously known as Peter Pettigrew in the movie HP3.
i just don't register any female faces from this movie, strange enough. =/
yah i went to sentosa with my younger cousins and we had dinner at vivo. saw ky at vivo. probably picking up some stuff frm pet safari for the kitten? speaking of which, i havent got to see the cat yet. SOMEBODY INVITE ME OR I WLD JUST INVITE MYSELF. =P
just kidding. =)
went along with my mum for her FAMILY DAY THNG organised by the RSAF. =P it was just a walk around little india and to explore the religious places nearby. we went to a church as well as a mosque. VERRRRRY INTERESTING. =) but had to wake up very extremely early - abt 7 plus. [my eyelids couldn't WAKE UP or more likely - couldn't STAY OPEN!] but i guess it was worth it. i learned alot of thngs about my own religion and others as well. going to the mosque was rlly an eye-opener. it was all so tranquil and clean.
christmas is always a fun time for me. not because of presents but purely because my nephews and nieces are here!!! =D i'm always glad to see them. that's why i took on the role of a babysitter. I DIDN'T CALL MYSELF THAT BUT MY COUSIN DID. =P it's amazing how you can just connect with kids as long as you have some markers and papers. =) i rlly do enjoy spending time with kids cause they are rlly spontaneous and they speak their minds. and when they talk about something that they are rlly intrigued by or passionate about, they speak with lots of hand gestures and they speak RLLY FAST.
HAHAHA. =D
i'm not sure how you guys feel about kids - but for me, i think they rlly are little angels with occasionally a devilish side to them. =)
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. =/
actually wanted to watch the 'Dr Seuss' show but i missed a whole lot of it so i decided to watch 'Peter Pan' instead. i like 'Peter Pan' mainly because of the two leads - Wendy and Peter. A NICE WATCH. =)
went out with ham and jyn on wed. we went to library first to do some major BOOK BORROWING. i got 2 detective novels, 2 guides to cartooning, 'Little Women' [shld read it if i want to do Eng Lit in Uni - I GUESS] and a BIG BOOK OF NATIONAL INSULTS. =)
some RLLY HILARIOUS EXCERPTS:
Everybody has the right to pronounce foreign names as he chooses. - Winston Churchill.
Alliance, n. In international politics, the union of two theives who have their hands so deeply in each other's pocket that they cannot separately lunder a third. - Ambrose Bierce.
France is a dog-hole. - William Shakespeare.
>> and many more equally horrid sounding quotes from prestigious people in politics.
MAN, I NEVER KNEW THAT POLITICIANS HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR. =P
after our visit to the library, we went to orchard for some walking and window-shopping. NOT THAT WE BOUGHT ANY WINDOWS cause everything is so expensive nowadays. =P had lunch at macs in TAKA and we went to a music shop - GRAMOPHONE. i've been there before and usually their cds are quite pricey. but it IS A GOOD MUSIC SHOP!!! =) it even has relient k! and Mêlée!!! =) =) =) [now that i think about it, i shld have bought relient k's album or the AAR's album but not enough $$$.] ='(
in the end i still got an album anyway, as part of a x'mas present to myself. =)
YESYESYES JASON MRAZ. =) =) =) and i love his music and i 'kind-of' regret not going to watch him when he came to s'pore a few years back for the Mosaic Music Festival. but the tickets were SO EX. =( at least i got his album now.
=) i love 'please don't tell her' and 'clockwatching'. the other 2 tracks that i know very well are 'wordplay' and 'geek in the pink', but his other songs are nice too - some have jazz influences. =) and he is RLLY CREATIVE. his lyricsbook is RLLY colourful.
when i was paying at the cashier and the guy passed me the plastic bag, jyn said 'without music, life would be a mistake' and the cashier guy was like 'THAT'S RIGHT' or 'TRUE TRUE'. and i half-smiled cuz it was rlly so interesting. only when i got home did i realise that jyn was reading the GRAMOPHONE PLASTIC BAG TAGLINE!!! [-.-"] wahlao, i'm rlly too blur alr.
ham bought james morrison's album as well as Mêlée. ZOMG I LOVE MELEE TOO. =/
so i got the jason mraz album at a steal price. WHY? cause we went to music junction at TBP and the price of the album was a WHOPPING $20.90!!! and i got it for 10 BUCKS ONLY!!!
damn lucky larh! =)
oh yah, they also have other indie music there but we couldn't find any john mayer album except for one small measley album that cost a BOMB. =/ OH WELLS.
okayy, so that was abt it.
shall update mre soon. PEACE OUT. o.0

time for a BRIANstorm.
i just realised that amidst all the hype and psyching myself up for maroon 5's concert, i forgot one BIG thing.
the 25th march '08 is a school day. A SCHOOL DAY!!! =( and it is a 'most-probably-CCA-filled' day and also a 'potential-test-the-next-day' day. =( so much for being so excited about it. and besides, i don't have the $$$. there's a mighty big big big BIG BIG BIG big big big hole in my wallet that seems to be UNMENDABLE. [there's no such word of course.]
i think. =/
so unless a miracle happens - which THEY DO but i bet GOD has many other more important miracles to perform like patching up the ozone layer, stop mass murderers, disengage all weapons of mass destruction, ensuring rain on some drought areas, ETCETCETC.
i guess i'm on my own. so perhaps i shld rlly get a job or a loan frm a loanshark [thanks for the idea, ham. =] smth like that. or, i could just wait for a gd deal and with any luck at all, a burglar would climb SOME TREE and drop a bag of cash into my open arms. =)
i like to dream abit. =)
10:05 PM
maroon 5 - she will be loved [acoustic]
i dedicate this song to 2g'05 and especially to hamie, wanfen and yee shuan who loves this song to death. =/ OKAYY, maybe not to death. but we had a lot of great times listening to this song. so YEAH. ENJOYYY. =)
vocals - ADAM LEVINE
keyboards - JESSE CARMICHAEL
guitar - JAMES VALENTINE
bass - MICKEY MADDEN
drums - MATT FLYNN

ME = !!!
yah - kind of funny how many thngs just happen to fall on the same day. they call it a coincidence right?
it's interesting how many people dressed up. it was also kind of bleak - as in the colours. we had to be dressed in black and white, the world's most boring colours and easiest to match. it's almost as though all of us are in michael jackson's 'BLACK OR WHITE' vid or SMTH. but there was some colours here and there. some people went all out - everythng was done by the professionals. then there are others who do it for the sake of doing it. and there are others who DON'T GIVE A DAMN.
yah - i happen to fall into that very category, a small minority only. surprised that some guys were as excited as the girls. HAHAHA. so i got shocked at what some people wore. literally jaw-dropping and mouth-gaping and mind-blowing [you can interpret it as a gd or bad thng rlly.] i can proudly say my friends are all very pretty and presentable. especially all the gals of table 13. HAHAHAHAHA so biased HAHAHAHAHA. =D
but anyway here's a few pictures that i took at grad night.
jyn [CHEESE] and yee shuan [WAH SO CHIO.]
jazzoo [she looks kind of pale] and yee shuan.
me and wanfen [SHE WORE PURPLE TOO! HOW UNEXPECTED!]
some of the girls of table 13 - jyn, shuan, seok hoon, dhwani and iswariya.
the rest of them - rabiah, tiffany, shu anne and jazzoo.
this shu anne arh rlly INFURIATES ME leh. always don't want to take pictures. GRRRR. and that's tiffany laughing at her. =P
i made this cause 1) i was bored and 2) there were ice cream sticks and 3) i dunno what to do with them so i 4) decided to make smth creative and 5) patriotic to my class. =/ alternatively it could stand for GIRLS.
i think somebody won a Haagen Dazs voucher before me and i was like " i want to win one too!" as i rlly love ice cream and chocolate and Haagen Dazs - of course! and the next thng i know, i won it. =D LUCKY KID AGAIN. jazz was like, "keep saying you will win this thng that thng and you sure win lorh." and so far, i keep hearing people tell me that i shld try for 4D or TOTO when i reach the age requirements. =)
candid shot of wanfen and qianying. maybe i shldn't use flash next time. they all have so much foundation caked upon their faces that it makes them look pale and somewhat ghostly. =/
AH-HA! CAUGHT IN THE ACT! JAZZOO STUFFING HERSELF! HAHAHAHAHA. =D eh, just kidding. and look at our table! so messy. jazzoo was sending me songs via her hp. before that, we were talking and then i asked her if she knew which glass she was drinking frm. so she pointed to the one that i was drinking frm. FUNNY. =) no wonder there was this one glass that always had to be refilled and i just cldn't understand why.
nicest pic because i FINALLY GOT SHU ANNE IN IT! hahahahaha. =D and it just looks the glammest of all. =) it is shu anne, jazzoo and HAMIE. they are like standing according to height and shades. shortest to tallest and white-grey-black. HAHAHA.
jyn's doodles. =)
i can't believe that i forgot i was going to A DINNER and i ate before going so i was rather full by then. alamak - what a waste of 50 bucks. HEART PAIN. =( and summor had to sit behind a pillar while the student leaders who came to help had free food and sat at a table where there was NO OBSTRUCTION. TALK ABT FAIR. =/
didn't get to take pictures with yi xuan and so many other people cause i had to rush off. but i'm glad jazzoo told me that the prom queen was zoe. =) i think she deserved to win. aiyah, shld get a shot of the prom queen before she won and with the other contenders as well. =/ but abt 9 plus i was called to leave anyway. hugged a few friends and said byebye and ZOOMZOOMZOOM. =)
it was very cinderella-esque. nt that it was 12 or that i had a glass slipper or smth. but my mum called and i went downstairs to meet her. i changed into my airport clothes [that's why i didn't put on makeup or contacts - MA FAN] and got whisked away by my cousin to changi for the flight at 12 which got delayed til 12.20 instead and that was pretty much it.
yah i suppose i will miss everyone that shld be missed by me in this school. and all the experiences. but whats most important is that i got wonderful memories to take away with me and all these everlasting friendships. =) that's gd enough.
time to start a new chapter in life. =)

here's some music you guys can listen to. 11 more days to christmas. =)
CHEERS.
11:57 PM
how can i actually miss them out?
before i go and do some serious telly watching, here's 2 more artistes i hope to see in s'pore.
12. jason mraz. =)) [COME BACK!!!]
13. the all-american rejects
5:05 PM
gessband live in action.
yah - i WAS there. =)
mbrosia. 13th dec. 7pm. s'pore conference hall.
and i must say it was a gd performance and a strange experience because i have never seen GESSBand play from a audience's perspective. to quote wanfen, it was an "indescribable feeling".
it was a joint concert - or supposedly, GESSBand was the guest player for the night. jazz was my sponsor for the concert. =) [THANK YOU JAZZOOOOOOOOooOOO] so we met up with a whole lot of ppl at tanjong pagar mrt at abt 6 plus. [kind of late, i think.] there was jazz, me, steph, yixuan, jia hui, ribena, jeanette, dhwani, ham, jyn, wanfen, [OH GOD - WHO ELSE?] um, poh gek, qianying. [I CANT REMEMBER. STM WORKING AGAIN.]
great to catch up with friends and fellow gessbanders. =)
so anyway, pictures.
mr foo introducing manjusri band.
there were these 2 aunties sitting beside me and they were like [everything said in hokkien for fear of eavesdroppers, =D or maybe cause since its such an auntie language] "he is so big size, block my view!" and whenever mr foo walked back onto the stage, she would say "he looks like he is in a hurry always!"
yah, maybe mr foo was nervous or rlly hoping to get it all over and done with. =/ DUNNOE.
oh, and some sound advice to both bands. =P
PLEASE, DON'T EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER count out loud or mouth 'one two three four' because the audience can see EVERTHING. i mean - all eyes are on YOU so you better be professional about it. [i never realised it but NOW I KNOW. im enlightened. =P ]
and don't always stare at your scores. SURE, you maybe worried that you might cock up or that when you look at the crowd, you might get jelly legs or SMTH, but NO - you have practiced intensively [I DO HOPE SO] and shld be able, if not, MUST BE ABLE TO REMEMBER ALL YOUR NOTES AND BEATS BY HEART. so looking at the score is just a form of reassurance. =) alternatively, you could look at the conductor which is an EVEN BETTER IDEA. but i'm glad that both bands were attentive to mr foo and mr ng when they played. it rlly helps cause you never know what might JUST HAPPEN. =/
also, try not to be so tensed and nervous. the more nervous you are, the more likely you are to make mistakes. the more mistakes you make, the more likely for you to get nervous. IT'S A VICIOUS CYCLE. what you shld do is play the music and FEEL THE MUSIC [i never thought that one day i will quote mr foo's fave advice but - HERE I AM DOING IT] and relax and enjoy yourself. that will help.
besides that, when you make any mistakes, its best not to grimace or make any sort of expressions or show it through your body language. DON'T FORGET THAT ALL EYES ARE ON YOU. o.0 so just ignore it since it is done and continue to focus and play the rest of the piece well. as performers, you must always remember that THE SHOW MUST GO ON.
GESSBAND!!!!! =) nice shot of them but mr foo always turns so fast. =/ i feel like telling him - RELAX, TAKE IT EASY.
i read a bit of the programme before i went into the hall. there was this part where mr foo says that music is like a musician's food. which is rlly great for me cause i love food and i love music. HAHA, i get the best of both worlds. =) but down stage, while i watched both bands play, i understand all the past lessons taught to me regarding music and how to play a gd classical piece. it's not just reading the score and doing what it says exactly.
YOU MUST FEEL THE MUSIC. =))
yah. you get the idea.
okayy, it wasn't a clear shot but it's the shot of the PERCUSSIONISTS!!! =)
i just want to say GREAT JOB by Elise, Wei Jie, Marcus, Guo En and Aefy. and of course, gotta thank Sin Hua for being a stand-in. well, he is ALMOST part of the percussion family i guess. =) you shld hav heard wanfen - she was like "marcus is so cute!"
okayy, i think i'm going to be killed for saying this. =/
i thought they were great but as there are insufficient players, a lot of them had to multitask. that's one thing of percussionists - we always have to multitask. OH WELLS. -.-" but we have fun always. and that's what i love abt being a percussionist. =)
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. ='(
i took a few pics and i rlly missed playing in band when i heard them playing Harry Potter and GOF and Animation Medley. they also played some x'mas songs as it was 12 days to Christmas.
they put on santa hats too which were cute. HAHAHA. =D and this reminds me when GESSBand were playing in Kaleidoscope '06 and we wore the kooky sunglasses with stars on it for the piece 'Disco Lives'. HAIZ. what good times they were. =)
for this concert, i took 3 vids of the percussion ensemble and the harry potter and x'mas songs. also took quite a few pics. i got told off by one of the SCH personnel for using my cam but then i rebelled and took pics WITHOUT FLASH anyway. i even partially hid my cam with my jacket to take the vids. SEE! MY DEVOTION TO RECORDING PRICELESS MEMORIES OF GESSBAND! HOW CAN THAT BE A CRIME LAH? whatever, here's my fave pic!
that's mr ng, our brass instructor. and in his hands is a santa hat. but obviously he is too paiseh to put it on. i was like - WHY DOESN'T HE PUT IT ON? but perhaps his ego got in the way. JUST KIDDING. he is a nice guy. =) but mr foo is a better conductor lah. =P
in the end, i rushed home with jyn, ham and fen cause WE HAD NTH TO DO ACTUALLY and wanfen was having a headache and jyn was being persuaded to go hme and my feet were being killed by my new shoes. ham just tagged along. =)
here's a picture that might get ham and wanfen arrested. and jyn is stoning at the back.
NO FOOD AND DRINKS IN THE HALL!!! ORH HOR!!! =P
just kidding. i couldn't bear both of them going to jail. HAHAHA. =D
i was just constantly thinking why GESSBand couldn't book such a gd location for our '06 concert. i love the conference hall and the atmosphere it has. ytd's concert was my 4th time there. WHY CLDN'T WE PLAY THERE? =( must be the ELDDS fault i guess. so hopefully GESSBanders will work MUCH MUCH MUCH HARDER such that the next time we can have a concert spanning 2 nights on the weekends at the s'pore conference hall without any guest players or anyth of the sort. THAT'S MY DREAM FOR NXT YR.
otherwise, all you guys have to do is get a GOLD WITH HONOURS for '09 SYF. ;)
work hard. we're with you all the way. =)

YES, jyn, now i know that old chang kee is 51 yrs OLD. =D
3:39 PM
intelligence beyond measure
shld i appeal to anderson? only 3 reasons i can think of doing it is>
1) i dunnoe who else is going to standrews
and 2) the pts of anderson n standrews are identical so WHY NOT?
and 3) yixuan and my europe tour mate - sophia, are going there.
what lousy reasons they are. =/
i went to the library and watched 'the golden compass' wwith ham on tue.
it was great to see her again. HEHE.
so let's talk abt the movie first.
actually i wanted to watch 'enchanted' cause i wanted to watch a gd romcom. but i thought - just watch lah. and it turned out pretty gd.
i give it 4 stars.
1 star for the interesting storyline, 1 star for the wonderkids in the production, 1 star for the great CGI, and 1 star for the stellar cast. 1 star lost because of the composition of the movie. =( it was kind of haphazard and a little wierd when piecing the scenes together. but it is a wonderful movie of friendship. so i dont understand why there have been talks abt it being anti-Christian and all.
storyline: Lyra Belaqua, living in Oxford's Jordan College, is not but a young girl living among scholars. Her world may seem diverse, from physical embodiments of souls that take the shape of an animal, but similar with people around you to become friends and enemies. She is thrown into a perilous adventure when she overhears a conversation of an extraordinary microscopic particle, Dust. This particle is said to unite different worlds, and is feared by many who want to destroy it forever. As Lyra is flung into the middle of this horrible struggle, she meets wondrous creatures both big and small, and villains who are not what they seem. Gobblers, that kidnap children, will turn out in the most unexpected places. And a magical compass of gold that will answer any question if one is skilled enough to read it. Lyra's adventure continues throughout these three books, and the first is about to be told.
[Written by Reaz.]
Oxford's Jordan College! no wonder i recognised the place when i saw it!
i just went there on my trip to london. KNEW IT! =)
it stars newcomer, Dakota Blue Richards as Lyra, Daniel Craig, Nicole Kidman, Eva Green,Sam Elliot, Ian Mckellen as the voice of Iorek Byrnison -an armored polar bear, Ben Walker and Christopher Lee. [not the singaporean LAH.]
i particularly like Nicole Kidman's role as the mysterious Mrs Coulter and Lyra, who is extremely charming and endearing. okayy, that abt sums it all up. but just go watch it anyway.
i borrowed this book just recently too. HOOKED. =)
MR MONK AND THE BLUE FLU.
short synopsis - Adrian Monk is a brillant detective with a slight flaw. He has OCD [obsessive compulsive disorder] and seems to be highly irritated by the sight of dustmites, dirt and anything unclean. However, this doesn't stop him from solving cases with his acute sense for minute details that normal cops seem not to possess.
After a year of negotiations, talks have broken down between the city of San Francisco and the police force. With no contract, the police officers have decided to stage a "blue flu" and call in sick to work until the city gives in to their demands. With almost everyone on strike, the mayor is desperate. He reinstates several former police detectives to help out in the crunch, including reinstating Adrian Monk and promoting him to Captain. While Monk is thrilled to have his badge back, his staff of detectives leaves something to be desired. Between the anger management issues, the forgetfulness, and the conspiracy theories, they make Monk look almost normal. Still, the city needs them. There is a serial killer at large who preys on women and takes their left shoe. Then a series of impromptu murders begin to take place all over the city. Is there a pattern? Can Monk lead his team of detectives to the solution? What will happen when the strike ends?
[Written by Mark Baker]
i think it is brillant. =) SERIOUSLY. the book combines both humour and intelligence with such pizazz that i couldn't stop reading it. I CAN PROUDLY SAY THAT I FINISHED IT WITHIN THAT DAY THAT I BORROWED IT. =) oops. supposed to read slowly and wait for ham cause she borrowed 8 bks. =/ OH WELLS.
so now i have better thngs to do - watch heroes, csi: miami AND monk as well. =)

spiderpig
everybody has been busy with their own thngs right? all got jobs or practices or smth on - RIGHT? yah - so have i but im pretty free now. which is a gd thng cuz i need to pack my place and read some books. catch up on thngs n with ppl too.
aww, i miss alot of ppl. =/
hope everybody's been doing fine.
havent been bloggng cuz i fell quite sick after my trip. 2 days of nonstop fever n flu n cough which was rlly bad so i tried to keep myself healthy by nt using com. you get tired easily in front of an object that radiates heat. i saw a doctor n now i can say im fully recovered.
YIPEE! anyway, back to mre interesting thngs. ______________________________________________________
IS IT GREAT OR WHAT that maroon 5 is coming to town? and after relentless complaints of them always going to japan that they are finally here in singapore with a concert? this is just absolutely fab - at least thats just what i think. cant help it and i do hope i can go watch them though. it will be so worth the money esp since i love their music. and it is even better since the day before the gd news came out, ham gave me their 2nd album as post bdae present.
this is what you call 'double happiness'. i will try to save up or use the excuse as a very early next yr bdae present. hope it works. finally i can hear ADAM LEVINE sing live. and i want to hear them sing all their songs.
life is bliss. =) _____________________________________________________
i got my results and its better than i expected. so im happy. cant say much cause i dunno who else is going standrews as well.
somebody - SAY YOU'RE GOING!
its quite far but at least im somewhere alright. PHEW. smth off my mind for the moment. _______________________________________________________
there's so many thngs to watch on telly these days. heroes and csi miami are my faves. mainly because of peter petrelli n hiro nakamura n johnathan togo [actor's name]. i dun think i will watch any chinese shows at the moment. they lack originality n creativity; even k dramas are better. although i missed quite a few eps of heroes when i went on hol, jyn told me of a gd website to catch them.
YES! now i can watch in peace at my own speed. they even have season 2 on alr.
that's the peter guy on the left and grunberg is the surname of the actor who plays the cop who can read minds. masi oka [YATTA!], who plays hiro nakamura - timebending guy, has the shirt with hayden's name on it. hayden panettiere is the actress name of the cheerleader. CONFUSED YET?
jyn's hooked on them too. and peter petrelli as well. =P
this is absolutely great. WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. =D ____________________________________________________
this is in response to ham's post of:
which international talented musicians shld come to s'pore and play.
and since m5 is coming alr, no need to repeat that. =)
here's my list of them.
1. relient k
2. ok go [to do treadmill and backyard dance]
3. paramore, p!atd, fall out boy, cobra starship - 'fueled by ramen' label mates.
4. smth eclectic like gorillaz.
5. kelly clarkson
6. avril lavigne
7. justin timberlake is okayyy.
8. melee, quietdrive, yellowcard.
9. rhcp will make some people i know very happy. =)
10. simple plan
11. joey zehr [HAHAHA] or tc5 - AGAIN.
a gd idea wld be that all the bands named above play in smth like a music fest. that wld be HEAVEN for me. of course, the tickets wld be pricey BUT IMAGINE THAT!
it wld be worth every 1 cent.
of course i encourage linkin park and my chemical romance to return asap. i wld rather go to mcr's concert though cause i know most of their songs. and i prefer them to LP even though LP is like 'high class metallic rock'. but mcr is 'fun emo rock'.
okayy, nvm.

there are many thngs i wld like to do before the hols end. i wld like to watch 2 other movies: 'mr magorium's wonder emporium' and 'enchanted'. they get the festive cheer going. and i want to go cycling cuz i havent done that for a long time.
-take up a sport.
-learn the electric or folk guitar.
-pick up a language or 2.
-camp overnight at a friends house with other friends and reminiscence abt the 'gd ole days'.
YEAH, smth like that. __________________________________________________
so the psle is over n amidst all that shock, lets talk abt the cleverest girl.
AGGREGATE SCORE OF 294.
if she donated 6 pts to me i cld hav gotten into crescent LAH. and it wld not hav affected her score badly either. and she still can donate some mre pts to her frens or my frens and still hav sme left over. prob 265 wld guarantee a position in raffles girls. thats 29 pts to spare!
DAMN.
on a lighter note, i will post pics of the grad nite SOON. once i get all my pics uploaded into the com, that is. and i will say some nice thngs abt graduating plus- TALK ALOT ABT MY TRIP TO EUROPE! whee!
and also abt 'the golden compass' which i recently watched with ham, and a bk review as well. and then i will round it off by making christmas wishes and new yr resolutions. but right now i have to pack my room and get ready for tonight's bnd concert at s'pore conference hall.
adios amigos. =)
